The legacy of the last abbot of Echternach is now a special attraction in the region. The late baroque castle with its beautiful gardens and outbuildings as well as the adjoining grounds of the former ironworks tell a story all of their own.

Neuerburg Castle is the largest surviving castle complex in the Bitburg-Prüm district. The inner courtyard and the castle chapel (former knights' hall) can be visited.
