Hiking trail markings & signposting in the NaturWanderPark delux

How to find your way easily

Your guide: markings along the way

When you are out and about on one of the premium circular hiking trails in the NaturWanderPark delux, you will always be accompanied by a familiar sign: the NaturWanderPark delux logo. It is your constant companion:

  • as a color marker sprayed onto tree bark or rocks,
  • as a marker sign or plaque on walls and posts or
  • as stickers attached to trees, posts or the backs of traffic signs.

These markings are placed in such a way that you can easily see them in both directions - without gaps, within sight and, if the path is complex, with additional directional arrows.

If you ever come to a fork in the path and are unsure whether you are still on the right track: walk a little further. If you don't see any markings after a short time, you have probably taken a wrong turn - it's better to turn back and look again.

Your safety: signposting on site

Even without a hiking map, you can reliably find your next destination in the NaturWanderPark delux. The signposts with their blue tips will guide you safely along the hiking routes in the NaturWanderPark delux. You will encounter signposts with yellow tips at important access points to the hiking trails.
In Luxembourg, the signs may look slightly different, for example in the form of brown wooden signs with a logo.

Both are part of a well thought-out, uniform signposting system that helps you to hike through nature in a relaxed manner and with an open mind.

This is what markings and signs look like:

Commitment to the joy of hiking

You are not alone on the hiking trails in the NaturWanderPark delux. Trail patrons are committed to the quality of the hiking trails. They keep their eyes open, check the condition of the paths, pay attention to the markings and help to ensure that you can enjoy your hike without any worries.

Twice a year, the trail patrons, together with the Luxembourg tourism associations, take a lot of time to systematically walk all the routes. Markings are renewed, overgrown paths are cleared and minor repairs are carried out immediately. And if major repairs are needed, this is carefully documented and passed on to the central trail management team.

The trail manager then ensures that the trail is maintained quickly and professionally - so that you can enjoy your hike safely.

If you notice something while hiking - a faded marking, a branch on the path or an area that needs special care - the trail managers will be happy to hear from you. You can simply contact the Southern Eifel Nature Park, the Luxembourg Ardennes Tourism Association or the Mullerthal Region - Luxembourg's Little Switzerland.
