Naturpark Our

The Our Nature Park is located in the north-east of Luxembourg and borders Belgium and Germany. Covering an area of 305 km and with around 14,000 inhabitants, eleven municipalities have joined forces with the aim of balancing nature conservation and the economic development of the region.

The landscape of the Our Valley fascinates with its variety of scenery, from gently undulating plateaus to deeply incised stream gorges.
The upper reaches of the Our are bordered by hedgerows and pastures, while the steep slopes of the lower reaches are mostly covered in forest. The difference in altitude between the valley floor and the high plateau occasionally rises up to 150 meters.
The course of the river with its numerous meanders is also characterized by diversity. Steep banks cut into the rock alternate with marshy floodplains, whose biodiversity delights nature lovers.
